Kim Elliott, Billing/Accounts Receivable Clerk

Elliott Kim websiteKim has lived in Evergreen for 26 years and loves watching the birds, elk, deer, foxes and occasional bear congregate around the bird feeders. The joy of her life is her family, especially her little grandson, Sage. Hobbies include collecting books, enjoying culinary experiences, and creating worlds in miniature. Kim says, “Working for Mt. Evans is a dream for met–to contribute positively to the community in which we live, and work with the amazingly kind and compassionate staff.”



Ann Kruger, Administrative Assistant
Kruger Ann websiteAnn started at Mt. Evans  as a volunteer in 1999, and began working in the office full time in 2005. She graduated from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo (California) with a bachelor’s degree. Ann lives in Evergreen with her husband, Peter, and their hunting dog, Inka, a lab-pointer mix. Their two grown daughters live in Fort Collins. She enjoys canoeing, camping, yoga, and singing in the church choir. She says, “I feel blessed every day to work with such a great ‘family’ of kind and and caring people.”


Julie Nelson, RN, Intake Coordinator

Nelson Julie WebsiteJulie  has been with Mt. Evans since 2005. She attended Fairview General Hospital School of Nursing in Cleveland, Ohio. She lives in Conifer with her family and their golden retriever, Otis. Julie likes to hike, play tennis, travel, and hang out with her family. She says, “I’ve never worked any place like Mt. Evans – where I am genuinely so proud to say I work here…with the most amazing, caring people!”



Evelyn Newton, RN, CHPN, Intake Coordinator
Newton Evelyn websiteEvelyn came to Mt. Evans from Phoenix, Arizona, and accepted the position of Intake Coordinator in January 2013. She graduated from College of Marin in California and has been working in hospice since 1987. She and her husband moved to Idaho Springs and have been restoring an 1890 home. They fell in love with the history of the town and its often quirky inhabitants. Besides the restoration, Evelyn enjoys quilting and exploring the backroads of Colorado. She feels Mt. Evans is the perfect fit as the staff are compassionate and committed to the community, but still make time to have fun and enjoy life.


Nancy Pinkham, Medical Records
Pinkham Nan websiteNan started at Mt. Evans in 2000 as a volunteer, and was hired in 2007. She attended Castleton State College in Vermont, where she studied physical education and special education. While in college, she raced competitively on Castleton’s ski team. Nan and her husband, Scott, live in Evergreen with their crazy golden retriever, Lady Sadie. They enjoy swimming, golfing, skiing and gardening. Nan says, “The Mt. Evans staff is a fantastic group of compassionate, understanding and dedicated people to work with on a daily basis.”
Amy Rabbio, Executive Assistant
Rabbio Amy webAmy, who has worked at Mt. Evans since 2013, holds a B.S. in medical technology. She lives in Evergreen with her husband, Frank, and their two dogs. (They also have two grown sons!) Amy enjoys being creative and tries to do something creative every day. Her list of interests includes knitting, sewing, beading and painting. Amy says, “I feel blessed to be part of such a compassionate organization that is able to provide so many wonderful services to our mountain communities.”

Debbie Schwartz, Customer Relations
Schwartz Debbie websiteDebbie came to Mt. Evans in 2012. She holds a degree in Art Education from Boise State University. She lives in the Bailey area with her husband, Bill, and two wonderful pets: a cat named Autumn and a white boxer named Rosie. Debbie loves pottery, reading, knitting, yoga, sewing, cooking, traveling, hiking and camping. She says, “Mt. Evans is truly a wonderful place. It offers a supportive and caring atmosphere, opportunities to learn, a culture of kindness, and true community support. I love being able to help in so many different ways — from volunteering for events to helping clients learn that there is someone here who will listen.”

Sharon Holstlaw, Executive Assistant
Holstlaw websiteSharon came to Mount Evans in 2013 after working for three years for Susan Stearns (see below). She has a degree in Respiratory Therapy and at one time worked at Conroe Regoinal Hospital in Conroe, Texas. She lives in Evergreen, likes to read, and calls herself a “workout fanatic.” She adds, “I love working at Mount Evans. I have never met such a nice group of people. Everyone is so helpful and always has a smile on their face. I am thrilled to be part of such a dynamic organization, and I hope to work here for many years to come.”


Myrna Wazny, Claims/Insurance Specialist

Wazny Myrna 0813Myrna has worked at Mt. Evans since 1990. She enjoys high tea, camping, travel, and theater. “I enjoy working for an agency so well-respected in the community, with a wonderful care team, and with a great group of co-workers.”
