Caregiver Support

Free Program for Caregivers

The Caregiver Skills program is a free educational series presented by the Mountain Caregivers Resource Group. Sessions are held at the Evergreen Fire and Rescue Administration Building, 1802 Bergen Parkway, Evergreen (schedule follows). Reservations are recommended, for more information or to RSVP, call 303-674-6400.

Caregiver SupportCaring for the Caregiver – Monthly Support Group

Mount Evans offers a free monthly support group called “Caring for the Caregiver.” The group, which is facilitated by Mount Evans social workers and counselors, helps participants cope with the emotional as well as practical aspects of caregiving for ill, disabled, or elderly loved ones. The group meets the second Monday of each month from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Please let us know if you plan to attend or would like more information by calling 303-674-6400 or emailing info@MountEvans.org.

Alzheimer’s Caregivers Support Group

Mount Evans offers a support group for caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias on the third Monday of each month from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. The free program is designed to help caregivers cope with emotional as well as practical aspects of the disease.
