Freedom Run Volunteer

Mount Evans Freedom Run 5K in Evergreen, COThere are lots of ways you can get involved with the July 4 Freedom Run 5K.

2017 Freedom Run Volunteer Needs:

Race Course Musician Coordinator – We have awesome musicians along the race course to entertain our runners/walkers! This volunteer would coordinate the efforts of these wonderful folks to make sure all is in place for race day!

Food Booth Coordinator and Assistant – This rock star will coordinate the needs for the food booth at the end of the race – bagels, bananas, cream cheese…and supervise a hard working team of volunteers the morning of the race.

Course Safety Assistant Coordinator – Looking for someone to assist our veteran course safety coordinator by putting up road closure signs prior to the race and making sure our course safety volunteers are in place on race day.

Transportation Coordinator – School buses have been scheduled but we need a couple vans from churches that we have had in the past. We need a stellar volunteer to make the arrangements and monitor transportation on the day of the race.

Goodie Bag Coordinator – We have a wonderful gentleman who collects donations for items to put in our goodie bags for runners at the end of the race (power bars, candy, lip balm, flags…) We need someone to lead a team of volunteers a few days before the race with a “stuffing party” to get the goodie bags ready.

Signage Coordinator – We want to put signs ALL OVER the community to tell them about the Mount Evans Freedom Run! We’ll have the signs and stands ready for you…we need a volunteer to put them up and take them down after the race!

Zero Waste Coordinator – Help us work with EAS+Y (Evergreens Alliance for Sustainability and YOU!) by leading a group of volunteers to direct participants on recycling needs – compost, waste, recycle.

HOOPLA Coordinator – Our runners/walkers love the buzz at the end of the race! Let’s organize a group of volunteers to make noise and celebrate at the finish line!

Great opportunity for your club or organization to accept a coordinator position and work as a team!
