Volunteer Opportunities


An integral part of the Mount Evans team, volunteers donate thousands of hours each year to ensure the agency’s continued success. Both short- and long-term commitments are available in a variety of areas including, but not limited to, providing transportation to medical appointments, respite for caregivers, bereavement support for families, handy-person tasks, clerical help, and fund raising. Current volunteer openings:

Benefit Gala Leadership Positions –  Several leadership positions are available that start meeting now and go through February. Work with fun people help ensure that one of Evergreen’s biggest charity events is a smashing success!

Front Desk
– Volunteers needed to help at the front desk to answer phones, greet visitors and do light computer work. Ongoing 2-3 hours per week.

Volunteers For Patient Visits – Volunteers needed to conduct patient visits in the 4-county area.

Volgistics Volunteer – Computer entry for volunteer management system.

Office Assistant – Miscellaneous filing, copying, scanning – 2 to 3 hrs/wk.

Bereavement Volunteer – Volunteer needed to make calls on behalf of our bereavement team – 3 hrs/month.

Upcoming Volunteer Orientation/Training: Nov.6, 8, and 10 from 9am – 1pm at Mount Evans Office: Day 1 is an overview of Mount Evans and the services we provide. Good for anyone wanting to know more about us and has an interest in volunteering in a non-clinical capacity (events, office, etc.). Day 2 and 3 are more in-depth about hospice, the bereavement process, spirituality, boundaries and the dying process. All 3 days required for those wanting to volunteer with patients or clients.
